Might be a Monza. Trust you kept that jacket Brian.
It's a Ducati 200cc elite sport and it was fast for its day and it was red, not got the jacket but sold the badges on Ebay a while ago.
Brilliant photo, was it reliable as well as being fast ?
I always wanted an Elite but couldn't afford one. I got a Royal Enfield Crusader Sports instead. I've seen restored Elites at various bike shows but the red colour never seems the same as the original.
The fairing looks like a Butler fairing.
Yes it was very reliable after I got the rectifier fixed after a few weeks of getting it from new at Kings in Leigh, I don't know the fairing make even though I had 3 because of the odd crash, I nearly got a royal enfield I think it was the GT with the red racing tank till I saw the ducati and it never let me down even though it was ridden hard every day and some times 2 up (pillion). Been round TT coarse a few times before the speed limit they have now.
