I came across this photo, of a few familiar faces from St Mark`s BB taken by my late father. He photographed the parade on Victoria Street, around the mid 70`s - a time when there was little traffic congestion in comparison to nowadays!

You're right about the traffic Nadine! Jack missed his vocation in life; he should have been a photographer.

"WOW"...Wot a great photo, ...That's me on the chopper bike top right of photo.. I used to live at no 57.. second row of houses on the left.. cheers for the memories... ! I would say the year was about 1975/76 ish... the houses on the top left of shot were demolished shortly after we moved out in 1976..The good old days..

Derek Gibson is the band master! Great photo Nadine. If you don't mind, I'll put this on the St. Marks BB Facebook page. There are a lot of great piccies on there. CHEERS!

Just stumbled across this photo. Spotted Derek Gibson and realised that I am in the photo. I am playing bugle on the back left looking at the band. Barry Dainty is playing drum front left and Andrew Ashcroft is front right looking at the band.

Lovely photo Nadine. I played the big drum in 2nd Wigan BB in the 1960's, and was born above my dad's grocers and confectioners shop at 40, Victoria Street, to the right of your photo. During the 1960's our uniform hats were pill boxes, secured by a chin strap. Happy days.
