What memories these photos of the signal box at Ince brings back. As a kid the station master used to let us cross the line (obviously when it was safe to) and climb up into the signal box. I can still remember some of the bell codes that would ring indicating a train approaching or that the section was clear. I know nowadays Health and Safety would condone but then it was fascinating.
