Yes, Roy Chorlton on the Ambulance service ( my husband ) is the son of John Chorton in the photo.

that photo was on the green at bispham hall rec club about1953 after billy won the news of the world handicap a t the railway hotel lostock hall.i lived across the road from billy on upholland rd he loved a bet and came to our house everyday with his bet ,my father was the street bookie in thosedays there no betting shops .i used to go with billy and mark his score card when i was about 12 and he introduced me to bowls which i still play to this day.
