Did Jimmy Crank finish up playing for Wigan Ath.in the Alan Brown days.What is he doing these days.

Hi JP, yes Jimmy Crank did finish up playing for Wigan Athletic.He is retired now and living on Downall Green Rd, North Ashton. I see him often and is a season ticket holder at Wigan Athletic. Will give him your regards when I see him on Saturday.

Was this team from the Stubshaw Cross boys club???

If that is the boys club team they change there kit, we got ours from Wigan Latics

There was a cup final between Ashton YMCA and Stubshaw cross
boys club played at the same ground 1954/56 after the teams made a draw at Cromptons Recs ground the YMCA won but unknown
to the YMCA team players there was a player that hadn't been registered, so we had to play again at what was then the
British Legion Ground. Alas the YMCA lost. I played in the first Stubshaw cross team that won the LFA youth cup
1954/55 first time a Wigan youth team had won the said cup.
I've still got the plaque we we all recieved.

Is the anybody still around that played on this team when I did. Love to hear from anyone.I live in USA now and have been for 35 years.Go over to the UK every year, will be there in Aug 2017.Like to meet anyone that I used to play with on this team. (Come on Liverpool)
