The artist is Philip Davies, he and his wife were dedicated Latics fans. During the 90's he helped run the Stables Art and Craft Gallery at Haigh Country Park. The Springfield Park watercolour paintings were some of his work amongst many. Don't know where he is now though but one of his similar painting graces our home. Oh for the good old days of Springfield Park!

I have the exact same picture myself. It was given to me about 15 years ago and i was told it was an origional. Someones been telling porkys.

Spoke to him about 2 years ago on Tesco car park. Round about that same time he used park his van near the cross in Standish.

It's taken me 12 years to spot this but I'm still here. The Gallery is still going at Haigh Hall. This print still for sale, only a few left now. (Temp closure due to Covid19)
