The photogrpah shows Moss Lane Footbal Team 1961/62. The following are in the photograph as I remember, Back Row :- John Farrimond, Alan Smith, David Jones, Roy Stout, James Dernley. Front Row :- Brian Robinson, Joe Bevin, Unknown Smith (Goal Keeper), Alan Richardson, Cyril Dodd, Raymond Littler (Myself), Harry Rothwell. Like to know if any of you made it big in football. Where are you all now.

roy stout played for bickershaw and poolstock cricket clubs, sadly died a few years ago.

Ray Littler - great left winger !!! the goalkeeper was Harry Stevens. Sad to hear about Harry Rothwell. These really were a great set of lads to play with. I am the tall extremely good looking one in the middle at the back ! DJJ 12/11/2010.

Hi all you moggy laners.This was a cracking little team.Sadly Jimmy Dearnley died in 1993.A good stopper,if you ran into him it was like hitting a brick wall,a solid full back. This team ran from late 59/60/61,when Alan Smith,Dave Jones& Roy Stout left ML for Leigh Tech.All the ones in this team plus the rest of the A&B classes were really sound individuals.It was great times,never to be forgotten.The next ML reunion is scheduled for end of October'15. If not already in contact,get in touch please.'Robby'.
