Sure was Tony L. Cracking start to their first seaon of formation. Could they play football - with proper wingers and everybody working for everybody.
Best team was when I, Jimmy Atherton, Jack McIntyre,etc JOINED won wigan cup south lance cup and league anybody got picture of this team went on to play in Bolton Combination
Tony an fordy were right. we felt sorry for you an jack.So we let you have a game now and again.
If i remember right they were local lads.(only dave heaton was a foreigner)Fordy was the figure head but joe was the brains behind the management.
Can't believe it's 40yrs since this photo was taken. Hoping everyone is well and enjoying life. Still watching football at my local club -still thinking the way to win is with natural wingers and a positive work ethic from everybody.
