Wigan Album

I remember it well.
It was won by a cyclist from Ashton named Johnny Picton, riding a Jim Soens.
Neither Tom Plum or Mick Byrne were in the results.

Was that when 'The Milk Race' came to Wigan? If so I drew the short straw of delivering equipment etc., to a display tent there, in fact there were lots of tents and marquees and reminded me of the Summer Shows of years earlier.

Tom Plum and Mick Byrne would at the time be having adult proficiency lessons to ride bikes and still have had stabilisers on their tricycles.

I'd probably need a trike with stabilisers now, I've no balance.
