Wigan Album

Vulcan second 15 early 60's. Around a half of the players were from Wigan. At the time the photo was taken most of us were still apprentices. Allan Belshaw and Bob Jameson were Triangle Valve apprentices and continued their apprenticeships at the Vulcan following a redundancy at Triangle Valve. Allan went on to found Times Engineeering in Bridge Street. Tommy Canning signed for Oldham RL club where he had a five year stint as scrum half .
