This is the cover of an Australian Sports magazine from 1950 It was sent to me by Martin's great niece Catherine Tomlinson who is working on a family tree of the Ryan family. If anyone has any photos etc. of the Ryan family, I'm sure Catherine would be pleased to have copies of them.

My Dad was best mates with Martin Ryan at St Josephs school.

The 1939 Register gives the Ryan family address as 55 Clayton Street. Martin’s occupation is listed as a pony driver underground.
