I remember Derek Hurst very well. A great teacher who, like everyone else, had a disliking for the Headmaster Jack Gilyatt.

sorry I missed gary jones when naming the team also forgot to mention that Derek hurst was the best teacher I ever had and still remember some of the stuff he taught me

Yes we beat Lower Ince in the final. Derek Hurst coach and popular History teacher. My Dad and Uncle at the back of KA in vodka sign, shouting for K, A. Keith Austin, coincidence. 47 years ago, time flies. Good rugby playing side when we clicked. Not seen Mr. Hurst for a while. Odd times I bumped into him at Sainsburys at Marus Bridge.

My Brother Gary Jones is first on the front row from the left. He was a brilliant rugby player and I believe most of the team were. The lad with the curly blond hair I believe is Ian Boardman.

I captained Spring View in that final we were well beaten.
