Again I'm not exactly sure what year. I can only narrow it down to between 1957 and 1962! When my dad played for them.
Love to look at these old programmes. Not many return after a three year absence as Dave Valentine did.
To help you to narrow it down, Ernie Ashcroft was still playing for Wigan in the early part of 1958-59 season.
...and some time during the 1961-62 season Ernie Ashcroft joined Warrington.
According to Wikipedia he played 102 games for Huddersfield between 1958 and 1961
Just read elsewhere that it is the 1960 Yorkshire Cup Final.
its 1960 it mentions one lad playing a test match v australia last year at leeds that was 1959 tour last time we won ashes at home. hope your weell granada

This was the Yorkshire cup final team programme pen pictures. October 28th 1960.
My late Dad played in all previous rounds up to the semi final. Then ( as you do! ) he had a dispute with Huddersfield. There were only 3 weeks between semi final and final. Dave Valentine replaced him at loose forward. That was Dave's first, first team game for three years! Although he gained fitness in the A team.

Yes it is the 1960 Yorkshire Cup Final Team. Great research 1934granada. Brian Shacklady, Roy Thornley, Terry Gorman and my dad used to travel to training together. I am trying to work out who shoulders is perhaps he could email me cheers!
