A "wild stab" tells me this is a Wigan team that probably played against Rochdale Hornets (away) in the first round of the Lancashire Cup on October 14th 1922 and won by 5 points to 2, with Johnny Ring scoring and Jim kicking the goal.

Equally this could also have been a match away to Wigan Highfield (same team, same year) played September 2nd 1922, won by Wigan 25 - 10.
