I can name most of these players from memory.
Back row:-Ken Gee, Gordon Ratcliffe, ?, George ?, Ces Mountford, Brian Nordgren, Ernie Ashcroft.
Front row:-Jack Cunliffe, Tommy Bradshaw,?, Joe Egan, Johnny Lawrenson, Billy Blan.
My diary on that day reads:-
Athletic v S.Liverpool. Terrible. They lost 4 - 0. Rained all through match.
Bradford N. beat Wigan at Bradford 6 - 5. Three goals. 1 goal Lawrenson, 1 try Ashcroft.

Ernest have you got all your diaries going back so long? If so, you should get them published.

Ron; I started to write a diary in 1941 when I was 13 and apart from a few gaps have kept a diary ever since.

Hi Ernest, the player next to Gordon Ratcliffe is Harry Atkinson and the one squeezed in between Joe Egan and Tommy Bradshaw is Jack Blan.

jack, Jackdog, Keith; Thanks, the players are listed on:-

Dougie; Thanks, the diary is 2.6" x 3.9" and space for that day is 0.8" deep, so one had to be concise!

Hope you've left instruction to leave your diaries to somewhere / or someone who will use them as a study of social history throughout your life Ernie. It could be a priceless record for future generations instead of relatives thinking its of little concequence and binning them
