That's a very long season

Did Hindley Borstal play all their matches at home?
no just any other team
Cordy: They were in the South Lancs Combo and then in the Amateur League.
hindley borstal played away because warders played for the team and only trustes played away so you played two teams one at home one away
I played for Whelley, joining in 67. When you played the borstal they would only let the players and one official into the changing rooms. When they came to our ground they camwe on a bus ready kitted out. It was always harder at the Borstal because they could play those lads who couldn't be trusted away. The following season we came second and got promoted to Div 1 won the Dean Cup and runners up in the Laithwaite Shield. I still have the crappy trophies they gave you in those days. Phil Aspinwall, Colin Gained and Ian Crawshaw each scored over 30 goals that season.
