CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THE OTHER TROPHYS ARE I AM HOLDING THE LAITHWAIT SHIELD
Mark, Don't know how far you've got in identifying the trophies but the following may help you in putting a name to another one or two of 'em. Bispham were winners of the Junior Cup and runners-up in the League that season. A clear photo of the cup-winners with trophy can be found under 'Latest Photos' on The Billinge History Society site. The trophy on the Billinge site doesn't look altogether like the trophy here being held by Bill Calder - maybe he's holding the League runner's-up trophy. However, the trophy being held by Norman Hickson does resemble The Junior Cup. As winners of The Laithwaite Shield are well-represented on the W'world site, a photo on the Billinge site of the 1929-30 winners, Billinge, may provide further interest for yourself; and other W'world readers.
