A very successfull team in the wigan sunday schools league, winning many trophies in the 21 years of existance. The greatest honour was winning the lancashire youth cup, open to all youth leagues in lancashire, in 1959. Sam Davenport, Secretary.

Sam iff you look further down on sports page you will see that Stubshaw Cross boys club was the 1st youth team from the Wigan area to win the Lancashire F.A Cup in the 1953/4 season, we played in the Wigan Sunday School league.

The lad on the back row in the suit on the right was my cousin Bill Whittle who lived down Bickershaw Lane .Sadly Bill died when he was young.He had a younger brother called Dennis
