He was headmaster when I was at st Cuthberts (I left in 1970) he was the perfect headmaster for that school at the time. Very strict (was needed), but praise given when earned.

Deffo Brendan Murphy was headmaster when I was there in late fifties great bloke I believe he's still alive in nursing home in Standish
