I've only just spotted this photo. George grew up with my late father, Walter and they remained friends over the years. I believe my parents went out for drinks from time to time with George and his wife, Gladys, many years ago. George also called to pay his respects when my dad passed away in 1977. I remember him being an impressive looking man, who seemed like a real gentleman.
