Jackie Flemming elder brother of the late Cliff Flemming who founded St Pats rugby club Jackie played for Warrington & Great Britain his position was standoff
Jackie also played for Wigan, in fact he had two spells with the club, from 1945-46 when he turned out 29 times and scored 14 tries and from 1952 to 1954, making 47 appearances and scoring a further 11 tries, he was a fine player at a time when Wigan were blessed with good stand offs - as Jim Sullivan said when trying to establish just where Cec Mountford would play "Your'e too small to be a centre and we've got more good stand offs than you can shake a stick at" well those were not quite the words Jim used but I'll leave the rest to your imagination - Jim often turned the air blue both on and off the pitch.
