Programme for the Wigan v Roanne game May 12th 1948. Roanne were the French Champions and came across to England, to play two games against Wigan and St.Helens. Wigan won the game 17-15.

Roanne is a small town about 80kms. west of Lyon. The Rugby League team was one of the pioneer RL teams in France. They play in the Rhone-Alpes Division 2 League.

Wigan travelled to France to play Lyon on May 22nd and Roanne the day after, on May 23rd. I believe both games were won.
