Taken after a game (V St Helens or Workington, or Hull KR? - single broad band) Eric seems pleased and enjoys a chat to a fan? Looks like Billy B in background. What a great player captain and gentleman Eric was. He was so graceful on the field and what a formidable partnership with the great Billy B that was for Wigan and GB. Saw them countless times. Oh what memories!

I remember as a young lad that Eric was put on the transfer list.
Somebody told me that Eric was going to York as Rowntrees wanted a "soft centre". I was gutted!
Anyway Eric stayed at Wigan and enjoyed a distinguished career.
