I have a vivid memory of attending the Speedway at Poolstock as a 5 year old in 1947, we walked there from Lower Ince.
Yes it is Clifton Mills. I worked their in the 60's as did most of Poolstock. The picture brings back a lot of memories
I remember Poolstock Speedway Being opened by Laurel and Hardy i was only very young i walked there with my dad and some friends from Lower Ince,I remember walking up the steps and into the arena,were Laurel and hardy were riding round in an open top car,Well thats what my dad told me does anybody remember.
I went to the speedway as a lad. Yes Laurel and Hardy did visit. I Think Ronnie Hart drove the jeep round his son Ronnie junior is still around
