My father in law Thomas Cunningham is on the far right next to him is Billy Ball they where the trainers of this team

Thanks for these Glenys,

I don't know any of the guys in your foto's as I wasn't born, what I will say is, I played for Ince St Williams from 1986 to 1990 and wore the same green and white striped colours. A lot of us went onto bigger and better things in the game on the back of St Bills. These men look like a hard set of lads :-)

The captain of that team is Len Padget and still lives up Belle Green Lane,Higher Ince

If, as you say, the photo was taken around 1955, then the lad kneeling at the front - left as you look at the pic - James Gibson - lived at the top of Belle Green Lane -

Jimmy as he was known, went on to play for Widnes -

I would put this photo around 1950,centre row L-R A Carney,M Burke,L Paget.Trainers Bill Ball told tales of liberating Belsen concentration camp,Tommy Cunningham was wounded at Arnhem.
