It is Victoria Park home Wigan Rovers but whats special about this photo is Tommy Lyon a local legend and my wifes uncle & the familys hero
Hi Mark, I have Wigan Rovers First programme when they played the Latics. I think there was about 9,000 on the ground. Today with all the Health and Safety you wouldn't get 900.

the queens head team,they played the pub teamm at the top of marsh green in the final we lost to them.iam 5th top row vince lannon,john hart was in my class at st josephs is brother peter a couple of years older,also bob barnes in same class.
