I only recognise Malc Swann (Back row 4th from Left) and Ronnie Dootson(Back row 5th from Left).
I thought the following played in that era:

Surely mid rather than early seventies Malc, 1975/76 ?
Front left is a young Michael Pitcher of this parish
To Mick Rennox's right are Keith Gaskell, the elusive Martin Sivori and, I think, Jimmy Arnold
Dave Walsh is front now third from right
I'll try again with Steve Davies as extreme right front
I'm sure I should know the others but years in the Royal Oak addled the brains
Why is Adrian Foster not there ?, maybe he was in the Oak

No its not me Stephen. I joined the colts in 1977 this photo would be 1975/1976 season. If my memory serves me correctly they did not have a colts team for the 1976/1977 season but they ran one for the 1977/1978 season. We were coached by the late Geoff Lyon. A true gent Geoff was.

scholes malc. it`s john darby not alan went to school with him nickname was pedro,it is dave ashurst on back all drank in the brookhouse inn which was run by j.stopford

‘Bigt’ – John Derbyshire was/is indeed called ‘Pedro’ buts that’s definitely Alan on the photo, who was also the captain – I would say John is five years older that Alan and whilst he will admit he has his youthful looks I don’t think Alan would be happy with you– and I also do know Dave Ashurst to who you refer (who is very ill at present by the way) but that is Sivvy who played on the wing with Mick Wilding on the other - can you confirm this ‘walter’

Does anyone remember anything about Keith Gaskell?
