A photograph of the Wigan Boro. team in the 1923-24 season. The team hold the record for attracting the largest crowd ever seen at Springfield Park. That game was against Sheffield Wednesday in the F.A. Cup. Unfortunately Wigan lost the game 3-2 in front of a crowd of 33,000
