Don't know if it's any use, but Raleigh was a 'stone frigate', a shore establishment where (certainly in the 1950's) recruits were trained for the engine room branch.

HMS RALEIGH is a vacility for Royal Navy personel training to be cooks,kitchen,and ancilary staff.It is based at TORPOINT in Cornwall.

It's also the place where I spent many a cold day freezing my bits off on parade in the 80's.

This looks like a piture A friend had her wall she lived in Queen St Highfield near Pemberton railway Station, I remember seeing it as i went into the living room when i was a schoolgirl
