Hi John, This is the other group photo of Mum's side of the family, the Metcalfes. They were married on 7th August 1948 at Independent Methodist Church on Bolton Rd. Ashton. I have the original wedding album but lovely to see them all again.

Hi Shirley,
Thanks very much for putting this on. It is truly amazing. Would you mind if I print this off to put with the other one? I have counted all the people on both photos, 29 on the Suttons, 28 on the Metcalfes. Giving a grand total of 55 as Annie and Tommy were on both.
Memories are made of this. Good to hear from you.
John.

Hi John, No I don't mind at all. Doesn't David look sweet in his white satin suit? Albert is in front of Dad. Some of the people are Bank's I believe from Mum's first husband's side of the family. I was born in 49 and then June in 54. Lovely to hear from you. Give my regards to Lilian. Shirley (Sutton)

Hi Mark, Yes, I guessed all the uncles were in the pub! Doesn't your Mum look lovely, so young. Hard to believe she is 90 in August. The day of this wedding actually. I think it was her 29th birthday.

Don't know Mark. I'll take the photo with me next time I go to Albert's. Perhaps he'll know.

Hello Shirley and Mark the man in question is Enos Banks which ask's the question where is Amos he would be too young to be in the pub. David

Hi Mark the one that's got me baffled is the women in between Irene and Aunt Polly, she could be Amos's wife or John Green's or Uncle Alf's wife Lissy I just can't make her out. Incidentlly you can see why we used to call cousin Irene aunty and Joe and Polly Woods weren't really our uncle and aunty just mother and dads best friends. David

Just looked at the photo again (another senior moment)could the women be Irene's mother Aunty Doress uncle Henry is missing as well. David

David
It is our aunty Doris, i knew of Amos but cannot place Enos,we were discussing it again this morning at mams, and she came out with a cracker, "the only women with her husband apart from your mum was aunty Bessy", she said "you know who the boss was there dont you"

Yes. Front row 2nd from left is my dad, Enos Banks. He moved to Hampshire police and was married to Joyce. ( Turner ). Sadly he died in 05. I think there are other Banks' here but not sure. Will get my brother to have a look.

Back row, 7th from right (in hat) is Alice Banks who later married Leo Concah, she died in 2004
