Hi Gerard, great photo, you are lucky to have such photo's, my Dad, God Bless him, was a begger for chucking things out. So I don't have much in the way of old photo's.

Old Tom at the front is my great, great grandad. I am the son of May Hughes who was one of 6 children born to young Tom as he's refaired to here. Yes I also got discount on a bike!

in referance to above message, my mother may, is one of six girls plus two boys, born to william hughes, (BROTHER to) tom hughes, sons of owd tom hughes. the wigan cyclist,

Owd Tom was also my great great grandfather. My Dad was the last Tom Hughes (of the bike shop) and his father was Tom Hughes, son of Owd Tom.
Don't know if anyone has a copy of the book 'Owd Tom a cycling legend' by Albert Winstanley but it interesting reading with some great photos

Owe Tom was grt, grt grandfather and I am also a keen cyclists (not to Toms level) I have him as my Strava profile pick and would be keen to cycle round some of his local loops
