not sure were they were off to but No 1 is Janey Price (Dyke) she had the shop in Vauxhall Rd. No.2. her hubby Ernie, and I think my godfather. No.3. Mary Marsden (Dyke) lived in Baldwin St. No.4. Auntie Winnie Dyke. lived in Wellington St. No.5. Tom Marsden also lived in Baldwin St.

I remember Janey Dyke she was the aunt of my pal Carol Hurst when we were children. She used to let us help in the shop - changing the window display. She was a lovely person also if the shop was closed and you went around the side of the house she would still serve you. I could cringe now to think she was disturbed when the shop was closed. I also remember going to the cemetery with Carol to her son's grave. She would always get us to do things for her "to save her legs" the last time I saw her was 1968 before I was married.
