this is a photo of a newspaper cutting of my grandad and grandma taken in 1956 showing them with the gardening prize for the best front and back garden. They had won it for 7 years in succession, they lived in Christopher street Higher Ince.

Aitch, Your grandparents must have lived in the houses where their back door was facing Christopher St and their front door overlooked the land behind the Town Hall towards the "Little Jungle"

Aitch I know where you mean your later photo shows his vegetable patch backing onto the wagon works
