This is a photo of my great great grandad who was landlord of the travellers rest pub in pemberton around 1910

Hi Nancy,
I grew up in Norley and seemed to remember a pub called 'Owd Jems'. Was it the Travellers Rest and is this gent 'Owd Jem' by chance?
No 'Owd Jems' was The Dog and Partridge, Chapel St (near the junction with Barton St and New St) Pemberton. The Travellers Rest was on the main Ormskirk Rd. Actually it was in Orrell (first building on the right as you pass over the boundary Pemberton/Orrell as you travel towards Orrell Post/Upholland.
