Where was this photo taken the route number 2 is Ashton in Makerfield.
The bus is a Leyland TD5 I think.

Well done John....you know your buses..When I was a lad I was good at recognising a bus from 200 yds...If it was a red and white one it was a Wct bus and if it was a maroon one it was a Ribble....I bow to your superior knowledge!..Bob

How to recognise the difference between WCT and Ribble buses in the dark!
All corporation buses had green marker lights ether side of the destination front and rear.Ribble didn't!
