Wigan Album

My mums maiden name was Yates and I have been trying to go back in history and find links. She lived in Whelley, Wigan and before that I think Blackrod, her name was Sarah Ann, we lived in Spring St, off Scholes till moving to South Africa in 1967, hope you can help.

Aunty Liza (nee:Ward),my grandma (Liza's sister:Agnes Howe nee:Ward) would be proud! Have been researching the family tree for WARD and taken it back to around 1853. Also, looking at Mother Ward (Annie Ward nee:Cox) and taken that back to Wales to 1813. It will take years to do, so if you have any old photos I would be grateful for a scan copy - These are lovely!
