This is one of my favourite family photos. It is of my great grandad Matthew Matthews (1871-1954), mowing the front lawn (with his Panther mower) at his house in Charterhouse Road, Lower Ince. Taken circa 1930s. Matthew spent his working life as a Coal Hewer at Moss Pit.
