Wow, Maureen....that's fantastic!
I thought this was an advert at first! Very good Maureen.
Maureen, I’ve seen that face around Wigan. I think Haigh Hall is behind the lady’s head!
Thank you once more, I lost quite a bit of sleep trying to get her mouth correct.. as you know she was known for her enigmatic smile which didn’t help with her having no eyelashes, it seems if history is true eyelashes weren’t deemed very pretty at the time… if the public.of that era could see the false lashes nowadays they would have a coronary.
Yes, a superb painting Maureen.
Here's the song and Nat King Cole to go with your painting.

They really would Maureen ! The idea of natural beauty has long gone it seems.Great painting !
I have always thought Mona could do with a make- over Maureen. ;~))
To be honest, Maureen, I prefer yours to the original! She actually looks quite happy and a little bit cheeky and mischievous! The original one always looks as if she's just trodden in something!
That says a lot Irene .. thank you.
Good show Maureen. The subjects facial expression isn't giving the impression.of a woman with a stone stuck in her clog! Well done.
