Wigan Album

My two mates and myself bought an old AUSTIN OF ENGLAND car from there in the mid 1960's for £30. We traveled all over the country in it watching EVERTON It used a gallon of oil for every two gallons of petrol.. We always had a big 5 gallon can of oil in the boot . Wherever we went we left large plumes of smoke LOL

There's a painting of 'Wigan In The Snow' by Theodore Major for sale at Clarke Art, and is a snip at only £32.500.00. I can't make out which area of Wigan the painting is of, or where it could be, though it looks like the canal bottom left and centre, could it be of around this area Wallgate?
