A photograph to treasure. Bitter fighting took place in that theatre of the war. I hope they both came home safely

That was a stroke of luck for the two brothers. It seemed to happen sometimes with brothers who hardly saw each other in Wartime , my dad and his brother included. I think they got really drunk at the time! It must have been a wonderful re- union. x

Tere was a Robert Liptrot from Platt Lane at St Catharine's School a little younger than myself
