What a lovely young girl in the height of fashion. I wonder if she thought of her carefree days when she was donkey stoning the steps of the Crispin pub! I bet she did.. (I remember that photo you posted Keith)...
Apologies if I have mixed up the two Keiths!
How smart she looks! That's one beautiful lady who would never have gone to the shops in her pyjamas, as they do today! She would have washed, dressed and applied a bit of lipstick even if she had very little in the way of clothes. She had pride and it shows.
Thank you Veronica and Irene for your kind comments. You have the "right" Keith Veronica.
Beautiful lady and very smart! That could be the back of Bulldog Tools old wood department that was at the bottom of Henry Park Street. The lady would be near the canal side
A time when girls/women took a pride in their dress sense..sadly that's all but gone..Keith your Mum looks very pretty,I bet you're proud of her.
Thank you Tony and Maureen. Tony, that would make "sense", my mother lived in the next street, Clarington Grove. Yes Maureen we were, mam was always busy on her sewing machine, altering or adding to various garments.

Quite right Roy, they shared many similarities in all respects.
