I think those are eight track cassettes on the wall above the LPs.

went to Roy's every week for my singles. I remember he pick me and my dad up to take use to Blackpool where he had his own four seater plane back in 1976 he was a lovely fellow. I did his daughter Karen's hair for her back in the 70's really good days.
Hi david i hope your good . I remember you so well . I only went in his plane once i was ????????
Hi Karen, I have only just seen your message tonight 10th Dec.
Lovely to hear that you are ok and keeping well. I have got a picture of Roy and my Dad which i took before we went up in theplane. I can send it to you if its possible. Anyway, have alovely Christmas to you and your family. Love Dave
Only just come across this photo of Roy Hurst and it has certainly brought back a lot of memories as I knew him well and I spent many happy hours - and willingly spent quite a lot of my money - in his Wigan Market Hall stall, which was next to the side door leading out onto Market Street.
Hi Karen
just looking at these photos when I saw them just thought about you , hope your doing OK.
I remember I bought my first L.P record from him. in the 1960's. I still have it GENE PITNEY'S BIG 16
Ummmmm.. You probably wouldn't have a title like that these days
He was a real gentleman, if you wanted an obscure record he would order it and have it for you the following week. I remember ordering the theme tune to The Avengers in the 1960's.
I think he contracted Malaria on a holiday in Kenya which never left him, if my memory serves me right it came back a few years later from which he died.
I went to his house a few times as I was a friend of his son in the early to mid 1970's. I also remember Karen, his daughter. Really nice chap was Roy. Always made you feel welcome. He lived on the end house adjacent to the grounds of the Elms on Tennyson Drive.
A family friend with strong connections to members of my elders which remained due to the positive feelings and trust.
I also ordered records and bought quite a number of records at his indoor market stall.
I believe, he had a house in Kenya. Yes, Colin, he did.
