Unfortunately this was posted whilst I was on holiday in France - and yesterday afternoon I passed within a few miles of his grave... otherwise I could have taken a pic of it for you.
We had time to spare before our ferry left from Cean - so we drove along the D-Day beaches. Full of holiday-makers now - but they were so open and exposed that you can only imagine what it must have been like to be amongst the initial invasion force.

A photo of his grave can be purchased through The War Graves Photograph Project website for whom volunteers take the photos.
It costs £4 for an emailed copy or £6 for a hard copy.

Many thanks for the comments they are much appreciated, however I do have photos of dad's grave, taken when I visited it in the late 90's. So glad I was able to make the trip even though it was very emotional. I wouldn't have missed it for the world.
