Correct me if I'm wrong. Didn't the pub extend from the Market Square, up to the Market Place, and in consequence wasn't the picture depicted the Bottom Legs, and the other one, the Top Legs?.

Gorner's Café was very well patronized. I recollect a popular saying. "There's moor washin up here, thun Gorner's Café".

Albert Yes there was a passage way that ran from the Top Legs to the Bottom Legs which ran behind the shops. I can remember going in it. It was a covered walkway with opaque glass paneling

My mam and dad went to Gorner's cafe for their wedding 'breakfast' (well there was a war on) !!!!!!
