thomas was in the same regiment as wilfred owen the manchesters it was the last time the manchesters were in battle ww1

my uncle peter farrelfrom st.pats died of wounds 31st march 1918 was in 1st/5th battallion manchester reg.maybe they knew each other.

I have been to see thomas whites grave in nord france there are 25 lads from the 1/8 manchesters buried side by side. hargnies community cemetery

A truly nice photo of a hero who like too many of our young boys were treated as fodder ,same for my wfe's uncle WILFRED of THE LANCASHIRE FUSILERS killed in ww1 age 18 years on 13 /October/1918 in HASPRES,FRANCE
