Edwin and Esther Davies, they lived in Mawdesley Street, Hindley, then later at Liverpool Road towards the Strangeways pub. Edwin served in the Boer war 1901 and died in 1960. Esther was born in Wolverhampton and died quite young in 1930
my great grandparents lived at church st hindley his name was ernest nobel davies his wife name was elizebeth greenhall
