I was wondering if there might be someone out there who knows who they are. This is a group of ladies (I think one may be my grandmother) and was taken by Hill and Son in Standishgate.

One of her sisters on the census was a milliner's apprentice in 1901 when she was 14 so that might have something to do with it. At that time the family lived on Whelley in Wigan.

My great-grandmother (Mary Ann Wright) lived in Whelley and was a milliner. I don't know if there is any connection, but the names of Gibson, Irving and Wright are in my family tree for the 1860 - 1880.
