How lovely, Albert! I remember my first school photo on my own, ( as opposed to a class photo), probably 1959/1960, was taken in black-and-white and was coloured in afterwards. Unfortunately, it has disappeared, but I remember being called to the teacher's desk, where she made a note of the colour of my hair and eyes,(both brown), and the colour of the dress I was wearing. That was how colour photos were done then. I can see the photo clearly in my mind.

Garry. I always took it to be a black & white photograph, with the colours added to it, at some time later.

As mentioned above, photos were done in black-and-white and coloured in afterwards, and they did tend to look like drawings, so I can see what you mean, Garry, but I believe it IS a photo.
