Is that young lad Brian McCracken who used to live behind Vulcanite?
Yes Jimmy, it is, he's my brother. Used to live in Letterewe Street, Pottery Road, how do you know him?
I knew him a and Jean long time ago, Brian used to knock about with us up Wigan when he lived off Pottery raod, he later moved to Worsley Mesnes behind Diggles garage, I haven't seen him for about 40 years.
He lives in Ince now Jimmy, married with two grown up children and 3 grandchildren. I'm afraid he lost both his legs, they became ulcerated and infected due to blockages. We thought we were going to lose him at one point, but he pulled through. Do you have an e-mail address, or someone who can e-mail me and we will chat more? By the way, this photo is taken in Farr Close, Worsley Mesnes.
my aunty and uncle came from the potteries and went on to live in farr close worsley mesnes their names annie and tommy west they had 4 children melvyn glenys pamela and jane sadley annie tommy melvyn and glenys are deceased
Hi Vivian, they were our next door neighbors, Annie was my mums best friend, I can remember my mum saying I had to mind my manners and say Mrs West, not Annie. How are Pamela and Jane getting on?
Brian was a good friend of my ex-hubby Derek Devine. I knew both Brian and Kath. The last time I saw Brian was at Derek's funeral in April 2011. Hope he's still doing okay. I don't live in Ince anymore so don't see many friends from there these ays.
Brian is doing very well Kathleen, he was very shaken up by Derek's death, but is was good for him to say his goodbyes. I miss my brother Brian like mad, I live in Essex now and he is still in Ince.
