Sorry for the poor quality of this photograph. Not sure whether the lady on the right is my grandmother, Elizabeth Holland (née Fairhurst). If it is, Elizabeth was born in 1902, in 1926 she lived at 2 St. Ann's Square, Wigan and in 1928 she lived at 665 Wigan Road, Ashton. Don't know who the other lady is or the pub that they are in.

Looks like the pub is a photo studio set, Susan.
The bottles in the background are painted onto a canvas scenery 'flat' or similar surface.
Possibly taken in Blackpool or somewhere similar, where many studios had novelty backgrounds like this.

I don't think it's a real pub look at the bottles at the back. I have a photograph of me and my cousin just like this when we were about 14 taken in Blackpool.

It's not until I posted the photograph here, that I realized it was a painted background, you can't tell on the original photo because it is so dark. The photo was pasted into a cardboard frame and to take it out might damage it
